NEW THIS YEAR: 1 hour 15 minute time limit.

This is an effort to keep the race moving so we can hand out awards, door prizes, and then clean up the park so that others can use it. This should leave plenty of time for you to assault the record of 31 Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Good Luck!

How the doughnut run works:

During the run you will have the opportunity to eat doughnuts at the aid stations. You don't have to eat them but if you do you must eat the doughnuts at the aid stations(you cannot run with them). For every doughnut you eat you will have time subtracted from your running time. For example if one doughnut was worth 1 minute and you ate 5 with a finishing time of 20 minutes your doughnut run time would be 15 minutes. The doughnut scale is below.

You don't have to eat any doughnuts if you don't want to!

Our friend Chucky also made a rule that in order for your doughnuts to count they have to stay in your stomach until you cross the finish line. So if you lose your doughnuts you start again at zero.

Prizes will be given to the top three finishers with the fastest doughnut adjusted time.

Good luck!!!!

Doughnut Reward Scale:
Doughnuts Consumed
Reward
1
:15 sec
2
30 sec
3
45 sec
4+
1 min
10,15,20,25
If you reach these milestones you get a 2 min bonus for each one you reach.
EXAMPLES:
You ate 4 doughnuts and ran the race in 20 min. We would add 15 sec. + 30 sec. + 45 sec. + 60 sec. to get 2 min 30 sec.

Then substract this from the running time of 20min to get 17min and 30sec for a final running time.
You ate 15 doughnuts and ran in 25 minutes.
Like above we would add the appropriate amount for each doughnt which comes out to 13 min and 30 sec(2:30 for the first 4 and 1 x 11= 11min for a total of 13:30)

Then we would add in the bonuses which equal 5min(2:00 for reaching 10 and 15).

So the total time off would be 17:30 which means your calculated finishing time would be 7 min 30 sec.
